Tempered glass belongs to safety glass. Tempered glass is a type of glass in which the mechanical strength is doubled by heating ordinary glass to its softening point and cooling it dramatically so that the glass surface is under pressure. It is characterized by safety, high strength and thermal stability. Tempered glass includes fully tempered glass and heat-strengthened glass. Fully tempered glass belongs to safety glass, it is widely used in places that require high mechanical strength and safety, such as: glass doors, architectural curtain walls, façade windows, indoor partitions, furniture, partitions close to heat sources and places subject to strong thermal shocks, etc. Tempered glass has an expected service life of 30 years.
