Tempered glass belongs to safety glass. Tempered glass is a type of glass in which the mechanical strength is doubled by heating ordinary glass to its softening point and cooling it dramatically so that the glass surface is under pressure. It is characterized by safety, high strength and thermal stability. Tempered glass includes fully tempered glass and heat-strengthened glass.
