Our merchant bar product range is manufactured from billets made by InfraBuild at our EAF facilities in Australia.
InfraBuild EAF mills use only scrap as the ferrous feed for our electric arc furnace-based steelmaking
process. InfraBuild has been making steel from scrap at the Laverton (VIC) EAF mill since 1985 and at the Rooty Hill (NSW) EAF mill since 1993. InfraBuild rolls the semi-finished billets into finished merchant bar products at our bar mills in Laverton (VIC) and Rooty Hill (NSW).
Our merchant bar range is manufactured in
accordance with AS/NZS 3679.1 (Hot-rolled bars and sections) and has third-party JAS/ANZ Certification to independently confirm it consistently meets the requirements of the Standard.
