Our reinforcing rod range is manufactured from steel made by Infrabuild at our EAF facilities in Australia, as well as billet sourced from other local and international steelmakers. InfraBuild's EAF mills use only scrap as the ferrous feed for our electric arc furnace-based steelmaking process. InfraBuild has been making steel from scrap at the Laverton (VIC) mill since 1985 and at the Rooty Hill (NSW) EAF mill since 1993. Infrabuild rolls the semi-finished billets into finished reinforcing bar products at our rolling mills in Laverton (VIC), Rooty Hill and Newcastle (NSW). Reinforcing rod is manufactured to meet the chemical requirements os AS 1442 (Carbon steels and carbon-manganese steels - Hot rolled bars and semi-finished products)....
