Rebuilt, Think Brick Australia and CMAA partner to accelerate sector-wide product carbon action

Rebuilt, the fast-growing platform for product carbon reporting, has partnered with Think Brick Australia and the Concrete Masonry Association of Australia (CMAA) to help manufacturers across the clay brick, concrete block, and paver sectors generate verified carbon data and build a shared foundation for low-carbon transformation.
Together, Rebuilt, Think Brick, and CMAA are tackling one of the key barriers to climate action in construction , the lack of consistent, credible, and comparable data on product emissions. The partnership supports every member to create a verified Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and use this to inform smarter design decisions, engage with emerging regulation, and meet increasing customer demand for transparency.
But the ambition goes beyond individual compliance.
“This isn’t about one product or one company. It’s about lifting the bar for the whole industry,” said Esther Bailey, COO of Rebuilt. “By moving together as a sector, and respecting the commercial sensitivities of individual members , we can build meaningful benchmarks that support both business growth and climate action. It’s a collaborative step that opens up new opportunities across the board.”
This initiative supports Think Brick & CMAA’s Sustainability Strategy & the industry’s Decarbonisation Roadmapby giving members access to Rebuilt’s platform for scenario testing, hotspot analysis and emissions forecasting. It also delivers aggregated and anonymised insights that inform smarter product innovation, shape sector positioning, and contribute to national benchmarks like NABERS Embodied Carbon.
Cathy Inglis, CEO of Think Brick Australia, says the partnership reflects the industry’s readiness to lead with data.
“Our members are committed to continuous improvement. This partnership gives them the tools to quantify their impact, plan for reduction, and stay competitive in a carbon-conscious market,” said Inglis. “As a collective, it allows us to bring forward high-quality local data that supports smarter benchmarking for the Australian market.”
In a fast-moving regulatory and procurement environment, this collaboration demonstrates how entire sectors can move forward, faster, by aligning on data, enabling innovation, and sharing responsibility for climate action.
